I want to let you know of the extraordinary service that I received from "Missy," Elaine Laday on purchasing a car in San Diego. I first used the auto resource center when I purchased my 2008 Toyota Corolla, with great results. So when I needed to purchase a car in San Diego, I went back to the auto resource center and spoke to Missy. She talked to me and my son, for whom I was purchasing the car, and we gave her a list of vehicles that we were interested in purchasing. We only had three days Thursday, Friday and Saturday, to purchase the vehicle, do the paperwork and get the check from the credit union so we could drive the car off of the lot. The three hour time change put us under extreme time pressure on Saturday.
Missy did a search of cars and ultimately called the dealer who had the car we wanted to purchase. She negotiated the sales price down $500, which was as low as the dealer was willing to go, which was still $200, from where we needed to be. After looking at a few more cars, we asked Missy to talk to the dealer again; she went back to the dealer and
negotiated him down the additional $200, so we purchased the vehicle. Her tenacity and negotiation skills enabled us to purchase the car we wanted at the price we were willing to pay.
Missy also put me in touch with Felicity to process a loan application for us, and Felicity located an Affinity related branch that was open on Saturday, near the dealer, so that I could get a bank check out of my savings for the purchase. Without Missy's assistance and coordination and Felicities' help we could not have closed the deal on Saturday which we did.
I want to commend Missy for her commitment to exceptional customer which
I feel sure is her trademark. I also want to commend Felicity for processing the car loan application over the phone and locating an affiliated credit union in San Diego.

Sorry this has taken so long to send, but I wanted to let you know how thoroughly pleased we were with Tom Grossmith's performance and the end result. We're the folks who drove down from VT to buy an Acura MDX that Tom had brought in, based on my specifications. As it turned out, we were not satisfied with that particular vehicle and were disappointed at the thought that we would have to drive back home without a newer vehicle. Tom was able to pull a rabbit out of his hat and showed us a different MDX that had been brought in for another customer, but which was not to their liking, and was exactly what we were looking for! The vehicle was immediately detailed, had new brakes installed, oil changed, etc., and the financing was quickly finalized with Felicia. This may seem like the ordinary course of business, but what made us feel exceptional. The whole process took an amazingly short time and we drove away with big smiles on our faces. A really good experience!

Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know what a pleasure it was working with you and the Auto Resource Center with regard to my recent purchase of a new (new for me anyway) car (the Mercedes-Benz SL500R). Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable in addressing my questions/concerns I had regarding the vehicle and its history, and with regard to financing and warranty options. It was one of the most pleasant car-buying experiences I have ever had. I didn’t feel pressured or rushed and more importantly I felt as though I could trust the individuals with whom I was working. As opposed to the stereotypical used car experience. Ernie Tufo, Dave Lacamara, and Felicia Footman were wonderful to deal with; they were both personable and knowledgeable. So please extend my thanks to them as well.

I just wanted to let you and your staff over at Lugnutz provided me with an exceptional experience. My loan request was processed promptly and efficiently so I knew how much I had to shop with. It was a cold, windy day and all the cars I requested to look at were quickly brought around while I waited inside drinking my free coffee. My experience negotiating the price with Tom was refreshingly pleasant and forthright. The car was clean and my delivery and closing process was a breeze.

I appreciated recently receiving a follow-up call from Ernie A. asking about my satisfaction with the 2006 Nissan Altima I purchased on Feb. 18. I am quite pleased with the vehicle and the total experience of doing business with the Auto Resource Center of Hunterdon. Without exception, every individual I spoke with by phone or on the lot was professional and helpful. I spent a lot of time shopping around at new car dealerships pre-owned lots, and at used car dealers. I have to say that I enjoyed the low pressure car shopping process at your dealership. The next time I am in the market for a clean, well-priced pre-owned vehicle, the Auto Resource Center of Hunterdon definitely will be my preferred dealer.

I thought you would enjoy this story.
Evan got his license a little over a week ago. Two days before his road test, the check engine light came on in his car. Now, of course, we were in a total panic so we took it over to Aamco, here in Flemington, the day before the test to try to figure out if the car was even safe to take the test in (We've never taken our cars there, but they are one block from our house and have a free check engine light service). They told us the car was safe to take the test in and cleared the check engine light, but then proceeded to tell us the problem was the catalytic converter, it needed to be replaced and would cost a minimum of $650. I told them thanks, but we weren't going to rush into any repairs, we just wanted to get through this road test.
The next day Evan took his road test, got his license, everything was fine. His spring break is this week, so we made him an appointment to take his car over to the ARC, get it checked out and to have any work needed done there where we felt more comfortable. The technician just called me to say that the problem is a loose flange due to some missing washer and that is probably why the check engine light threw up the catalytic converter code. He said they will put on the missing washers and hopefully that will solve the problem---a $50 dollar repair.
Of course the catalytic converter could still turn out to be bad, but it really impressed me that the ARC technician didn't automatically go there and try to sell my 17 year old on an expensive and possibly not necessary repair right out of the gate. And as icing on the cake, the tech took the time to show Evan how he diagnosed the problem so he gets to learn something along the way.
So there you go, chalk another one up for the good guys! Thanks again for turning us onto the ARC. I think I might be their number one fan right now. :) :)
